WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) once again is warning parents and caregivers about the dangers of high-powered magnetic balls and cubes. Today, the CPSC announced a mandatory recall of 10 million Zen and Neoballs magnets due to an ingestion hazard and risk of death .
Amazon has announced a new policy that aims to reduce the number of lawsuits the company faces over products that injure customers. According to the policy, Amazon will now pay injured customers up to $1,000 when a third-party product causes property damage or personal injury.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission voted to ban the sale of products marketed for infant sleep after more than 100 deaths linked to the unregulated products. Manufacturers have one year to comply with safe sleep standards.
