FARMINGTON – I hope everyone is enjoying the summer, recent rain and all. Kids home from school can sign up for the Goodwin Library summer reading program. Younger kids can enjoy the upcoming preschool pop-ups in the park put on by Parks and Recreation.

Farmington Rec. and Community Action Program will be holding Preschool Pop-up in the park on July 13 and 20, 9:30 to 11 a.m. Join in crafts, games, stories and more. No registration required.
Senior Stretch and Tone: Join us for the six-week Stretch and Tone class. It begins on Monday, July 12 at 10 a.m. It will be $45 for all six classes or $10 per drop-in.

Wilton Reads - New Kid Book Club, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Students in grade 5 are invited to join Cider Mill and Wilton Library in this engaging three-week book club exploring
New Kid by Jerry Craft. Each week kids will have the chance to openly and honestly discuss their thoughts and feelings about different aspects of the story and the characters’ experiences. Topics to be discussed are graphic novel as a format, Jordan’s experiences related to his race, bullying, family relationships, and more. This program is being offered as part of the library’s Wilton Reads program. Students who participate will receive a signed copy of the book distributed through the school. Registration is required.
