Top 20 Graphic Novels by Units & Dollars For January 2021
The latest round of charts to roll out from ICv2 covers another part of what happened in January 2021 by looking at the graphic novel market as a whole – by units and by dollars. This one tends to not vary as wildly as the comics one does because we don’t usually get single-issue comics that are out of the norm that often. One of the fun things about the graphic novel side is that there are things that turn out big here that aren’t usually thought about within the periodical marketplace but do big numbers. Such as

The Cranbrook Public Library is now open with extended hours (with some restrictions and reduced services.) We encourage patrons to limit their visits to 60 minutes. We also have a maximum number of patrons allowed in the building at one time, so you may be asked to wait.

Library hours for January are:
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, and Friday
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday
12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Library Takeout curbside pick-up is still available by appointment.

the spread of the virus; however, the staff is still working to provide
great library services to public. We have curbside delivery from 10:10
a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10-11:30 a.m. on
Saturday. Call the library to setup your curbside delivery time.
Designated parking spots for the curbside delivery are clearly marked in
the parking lot.
Library staff is also available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday to answer questions.

With gains across all categories, unit sales of print books rose 10.5% in the week ended Dec. 12, 2020, over the comparable week in 2019, at outlets that report to NPD BookScan. Adult nonfiction unit sales increased 14.5% over the week ended Dec. 17, 2019, as Barack Obama’s
A Promised Land remained the top title, selling nearly 325,000 copies. Two newly released books also contributed to the gains in adult nonfiction:
Bag Man by Rachel Maddow sold more than 46,000 copies, and
The Last Days of John Lennon by James Patterson sold more than 36,000 copies. Adult fiction also had a good week, with sales up 16.3%. Charlie Mackesy’s
