At completion, the plant will serve around 400,000 people living in Hebron City and along Wadi As-Samen in Hebron Governorate and will pave the way to treated water reuse for agricultural purpose.

World Bank Italy Joins the Palestinian Partnership for Infrastructure Development

Italy is contributing an 8 million euros, equivalent to US$ 9.53 million, to the Palestinian Partnership for Infrastructure Development Multi-Donor Trust Fund (PID Fund), which is administered by the World Bank. This is Italy’s first contribution to the fund, joining a partnership of ten development partners.  Italy’s contribution will support Palestinian Authority priority activities in the water sector, specifically reforms and investments to achieve improved access to safe drinking water in Gaza through the Associated Works Project.
