Apocalypse Child now streaming on Netflix

It stars Sid Lucero, Annicka Dolonius, Gwen Zamora, RK Bagatsing, Ana Abad Santos, and Archie Alemania. The film is helmed by Mario Cornejo. “Apocalypse Child” first premiered at the QCinema Film Festival where it won “Best Picture,” “Best Director,” “Best Artistic Achievement,” and “Best Supporting Actress.” It also bagged awards at the Film Academy of the Philippines Luna Awards 2016, Gawad Urian Awards 2016, and Star Awards for Movies 2016.

Multi-awarded film Balangiga: Howling Wilderness coming to Netflix

(Screencap from Khavn) The 2017 drama film is set during the US-occupied Philippines and follows the story of Kulas, an eight-year old boy who flees his hometown with his grandpa and must survive the wilderness with a toddler he takes under his wing. It stars Justine Samson, Pio Del Rio, Warren Tuaño, and Daniel Palisa. The movie is helmed by Khavn De La Cruz and penned by Jerry Gracio, Achinette Villamor, and De La Cruz. “Balangiga: Howling Wilderness” first premiered at the QCinema International Film Festival in 2017, bagging multiple awards including “Best Picture,” “Best Director,” “Best Actor,” and “Best Supporting Actor.”
