The large role technology plays in society is reflected in the number of gadgets people are dependent on. In the art industry, not only is technology used as a tool for artistic creation, it also triggers inspiration.
For his first gallery exhibition CyberSoul , Napaphol Uruchada, better known as BestBetter, created 11 paintings inspired by technology and the cyberworld.
In a quiet and gloomy world, a girl walks alone on empty and winding roads. The girl is a character in the paintings Alone1 and Alone2 from the Covid-19 pandemic-inspired collection "Linetopia" by Apiwat Bunler. Periods of stay-at-home and self-isolation had a strong impact on independent artist Apiwat, who also bartends in his own bar, Barley, where he meets many people.
The complexity of an urban city and social conflicts are portrayed through pop art paintings at "Linetopia", which will take place at Kalwit Studio & Gallery from Friday to June 20.

Thotsakan, the Demon King of Lanka in the Thai epic Ramakien, plays with a drone. Hanuman, the Monkey King, kills a giant with a gun and the giant Queen Nang Sammanakkha wears colourful attire without the golden theatrical crown. These characters from the Ramakien were created in new forms for a future world by artist Surachet Prueksawunprasut in the collection titled New Ramayana , who makes them look different from their usual self in the traditional paintings.
