Sioux Falls Parks & Rec looking for part-time fall employees

They are having walk-in interviews starting next month. Fall Hiring: Walk-In Interviews for Parks and Recreation 2021 Walk-In Interview Schedule: Thursday, Aug. 26: 3-7 p.m. at Morningside Community Center Saturday, Aug. 28: 1-3 p.m. at Oyate Community Center Monday, Aug. 30: 3-5 p.m. at Kenny Anderson Community Center Tuesday, Aug. 31: 3-7 p.m. at Kuehn Community Center Wednesday, Sept. 1: 3-5 p.m. at MariCar Community Center The City says these seasonal jobs have bonuses, good pay, many available shifts, and flexibility, and impact the community in many positive ways! Jobs include community center staff, adult basketball referees, ice-rink staff and more.

Joseph Curtis, Pittsfield schools chief, takes salary at low end of pay range

PITTSFIELD — Joseph Curtis has inked a three-year contract to serve as superintendent of Pittsfield’s school district and will earn an annual salary of $168,000. The contract was negotiated between Curtis and the School Committee, which in April selected the longtime Pittsfield Public Schools administrator to serve in one of the highest-paid and highest-profile jobs in the city. PITTSFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS Curtis had served as interim superintendent since the fall, and before that worked several jobs, including deputy superintendent of the approximately 5,000-student district and as principal of Morningside Community School. He started as a teacher in the district in 1994. With an agreed-upon starting salary of $168,000, Curtis’ initial wages are on the low end of the $165,000 to $180,000 salary range the School Committee set for superintendent job.

New Mountain Bike Trail And Youth Hub For Peninsula

VIC Premier The Andrews Labor Government is investing in the Mornington Peninsula community with the completion of a new bike trail at Arthur’s Seat and Rosebud soon to be home to a new youth hub. Local Government and Suburban Development Minister Shaun Leane and Member for Nepean Chris Brayne today announced Mornington Peninsula Shire Council will receive $4.3 million towards the new Southern Peninsula Youth Services Hub from the Growing Suburbs Fund. One of the largest investments in the fund’s history, the hub will be a new, modern and accessible home for a wide range of different services and programs, with a strong focus on mental health support, advice and counselling.

RACV delivers 100,000 emergency meals to vulnerable Victorian communities

The emergency goods assist service, which commenced last year during the COVID-19 pandemic, has supported over 30 community organisations across Victoria, starting with deliveries around Melbourne and now beyond. As the demand for meals increased, the service expanded to meet the needs in regional Victoria. RACV General Manager Social Impact and Corporate Communications Louise Steinfort said, “by extending our emergency goods assist service to regional Victoria, we have been able to reach more vulnerable community members in need of nutritious meals.” “The 100,000 meals that we’ve been able to deliver have helped to ease some of the stresses facing families and individuals during a year that has seen many Victorians seek additional support”, said Ms Steinfort.

Pittsfield Schools Add Remote Learning Food-Service Plans

  While offering further flexibility for students and families in need of picking up meals, these additions to the schedule will also provide families the opportunity to receive multiple days of meals at one time.   Regular midday meal service at all sites will continue. Newly added late afternoon\early evening meal service sites include: Conte Community School (West Union Street) and Morningside Community School (Burbank Street) on Thursday, Dec. 17 and Monday, Dec. 21. 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM   Multiple days of meals will be distributed at each location, on each day – including a 1\2 gallon of milk on each pick-up day.       In an effort to ensure that enough multi-day meals are prepared and available on Monday and Thursdays, families are encouraged to place their order place using the www.pittsfield.net website. A link to the meal pick-up form is located on the top the website, in the announcements section.
