Green really is the color of 2021 so far; at least TAG Heuer believes so. Hot off the heels of the recent launch of the green-dialed Monaco, the Swiss brand has decided to “green up” another of its classics. This time, the Carrera gets goods with the TAG Heuer Carrera Green Special Edition.
A new shade of green
Thankfully we’re not seeing a direct port of the Monaco’s green dial color here. I say that with a healthy dose of respect, though, as that shade was delicious. For the Carrera Green Special Edition, TAG Heuer has chosen a very different shade of green, verging on teal. It’s a softer color and one that actually quite suits the Carrera silhouette, with the mixture of blue and green hues that make up the shade. I’m slowly becoming a convert to the teal-dial appreciation club, headed up by our own Rob Nudds. He loves a teal-dialed watch, and with examples like this, I can see why.

Tag Heuer Green-Lights a New Monaco

Tag Heuer has announced a green version of its celebrated Monaco watch. The colour, associated with vintage cars and motor racing, is apt.
It is being released to mark the brand’s position as official sponsor and timekeeper of the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, the biennial motorsport event that takes place this weekend. Tag Heuer
Originally released in 1969, Tag Heuer’s Monaco is one of its most admired watches. Despite being named after the famous Grand Prix race in the French Riviera city-state, the brand hadn’t served as an official timing sponsor of the event until last year, when it took over from Rolex.

While Jeon mostly wears jewellery pieces in the drama she can also be seen sporting some timepieces including this Crystal Flower watch from Swarovski. As its name suggests, the watch is inspired by flowers and the bezel features two intertwined rows of bright crystals on rose-gold tone PVD coating. Among the sparkling lines sit a gray sunray dial adorned with crystal index markers and the brand logo at 12 o clock.

The remainder of the watches were offered through TAG Heuer’s network of dealers in the US and Japan.
