Bill Maher is a good Democrat.
And he’s a very good liberal.
But as a left-winger increasingly compared to the evident bulk of that bunch he
stinks.
Such a thing recurred Friday in a new installment of HBO’s
Real Time.
Have you noticed the historically high rate of American White Power?
Bill hasn’t.
He referenced the great comedian Kevin Hart:
“There is a [repetitive] theme on the far Left that things have never been worse. Kevin Hart expressed a view many hold when he told The New York Times, ‘You’re witnessing white power and white privilege at an all-time high.’”
Unity, generally, is considered virtuous.
Yet, so far as I can tell, the Powers That Be are increasingly interested in emphasizing our differences.

Amid the new morality: “whiteness.”
We’re being told it’s something to be stamped out.
That may very well be correct if the term represents dastardly deeds.
But what’s the impact of attaching it wholly and exclusively to a race?
If I had to guess, I’d say not unity.
Some want politics and social issues addressed, it seems, in all areas of life.
Gone are the days of having no idea what the maker of your candy bar thinks of legislation.
Wanna watch CNN? Just turn on any channel in one way or another, they’re all covering the same stuff.
At least, that’s the way it appears to me, in comparison to just a couple decades ago.
And as we adjust to our updated level of consciousness, news comes about cartoon dogs.
