GPs in Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset started vaccinating vulnerable patients against coronavirus from Wednesday. The first person to receive the vaccine in Devizes at 8.30am on December 16 was Richard Conroy. Mr Conroy said: “I was invited by my GP last Wednesday, my birthday. “The surgery sent me an email then I phoned to make the appointment. “I feel absolutely marvellous, it’s a pretty good feeling to get the vaccine. “Everyone should have the jab when it s offered.” The GP-led vaccinations began on December 16 at four centres across Wiltshire including the Corn Exchange in Devizes, the Steam Museum in Swindon, Combe Down Surgery near Bath and Rowden Surgery in Chippenham.
