A list of child care centers and schools that El Paso County Public Health and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment have identified with having outbreaks of coronavirus.

Delta Kappa Gamma, Alpha Iota State, Michigan, announced that the State Woman of Distinction Award for 2021 was awarded to J-Jay Pechta.
Delta Kappa Gamma is an international organization of professional, women educators. Every year a member is honored who has contributed above and beyond to the organization.
Pechta belongs to Gamma Chapter located in Hillsdale County. She has been its president, is their forever yearbook and Gamma Gazette editor, among many other positions, and has been their Chapter Woman of Distinction.
She is active with the Cascades Coordinating Council, currently its treasurer.
At the State level, she has been the Approve Minutes, Professional Affairs, and Membership Committee chairs. Pechta has held the offices of recording secretary, first vice president, and was State President from 2007-09. The Gamma Chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society at Washington State University is accepting applications through April 1, 2021 from undergraduates for 2021-22 scholarships that cover full tuition costs plus mandatory fees. Students from all WSU campuses are eligible to apply.
“The Gamma Chapter is very pleased to once again offer scholarships that recognize and foster excellence in liberal learning at the undergraduate level,” said Kim Holapa, chair of the chapter’s scholarship committee.
Since the 2010-11 academic year, the Gamma Chapter has awarded generous scholarships to rising seniors from a variety of majors. Also, each spring the chapter invites new members to join the society, becoming members for life.
