The list below includes some of the offenders that were put behind bars by judges during June. Two offenders who are currently serving prison sentences were also given further sentences. The offenders names and a summary of what led to them appearing in the dock are as follows:
Thief stole charity collection box in ‘unacceptable’ crime A THIEF who stole a charity collection box and burgled a property in Dorset has been jailed. Dylan Leslie Brewer, aged 39, of Orchard Court in Gillingham, appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday June 18 and pleaded guilty to burglary and theft. He was sentenced to 32 weeks in prison.

A MAN was struck in the head with an axe during a violent attack along a residential street Bournemouth. Detectives investigating the assault say the victim, a 23-year-old Bournemouth man, was attacked outside an address on Parker Road, Winton, after an argument started inside the property between him and another man. As they stepped outside the victim as assaulted with the axe, sustaining non-life threatening head injuries. Detective Constable Ian Caddy, of Bournemouth CID, said: We are investigating what happened during the incident and have made a number of enquiries. No arrests have been made at this time and I am very keen to hear from any witnesses who have not spoken with officers yet.
