YORK COUNTY, S.C. A 47-year-old man from Gastonia was killed in a motorcycle accident in York County just before 8pm on April 18th. Troopers say Enoch Bristol was killed after he crashed into a tree on Piedmont Road at Forest View Road. This is about six miles west of Clover, South Carolina.
Bristol was driving a Suzuki motorcycle west on Forest View Road when Troopers say he disregarded the stop sign, traveled off the right side of Piedmont Road, struck a tree stump, and was ejected from the motorcycle.
Bristol was wearing a helmet but authorities say he died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash. No other vehicles were involved. Investigators say an autopsy and toxicology tests are still pending. No other details have been released at this time.

YORK COUNTY, S.C. (WBTV) - A motorcyclist died after running a stop sign and crashing into a tree stump Sunday evening in York County.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. on Piedmont Road at Forestview Road about six miles west of Clover.
Troopers say the driver failed to stop at the stop sign, then drove off the road and hit the tree stump. The driver died at the scene.
No other information was provided.

A North Carolina motorcycle driver was killed Sunday night in a York County crash west of Clover, officials said.
Enoch Bristol, 47, of Gastonia, N.C., died at the scene, said York County Coroner Sabrina Gast.
The single-vehicle wreck happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Piedmont Road and Forest View Road near Kings Mountain National Military Park, said Master Trooper Gary Miller of the S.C. Highway Patrol. The area is south of the North Carolina line.
The motorcycle went off the side of the road at the intersection and hit a tree stump, Miller said. Bristol died at the scene.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, WI A West Bend Man, involved in the deadly home invasion in Washington County on Wednesday, died after being shot by an officer s weapon, according to a Wisconsin Department of Justice news release.
The release named the shooter as Nicholas Pingel, 30, of West Bend. The release said an autopsy confirmed how Pingel died.
The deputy who fired his gun is a nine-year veteran of Washington County law enforcement and has been placed on administrative leave as a standard protocol pending the outcome of the independent investigation, officials said.
