The Carpionato Group on Thursday helped cut the ribbon along with city officials in Warwick on the completion of the $25 million in renovations at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The hotel which first opened in 1987, has 266 rooms and in 2018, the last year for full operation before the renovation began, booked 34,400 group room nights in addition to the 38,200 leisure room nights sold.
“We are so grateful for our friends who helped us survive during the pandemic including Senator Reed, Senator Whitehouse, Congressman Langevin and Congressman Cicilline who supported the creation of the Paycheck Protection Program that allowed us to keep many of our employees working during the downturn, to Warwick’s City Council, fire department, building inspector and public works departments that helped us with the permitting process during this renovation,” said K. PROVIDENCE â When the US Census Bureau announced on Monday that Rhode Island would keep its two seats in the US House of Representatives, the news certainly came as a relief to Representatives James R. Langevin and David N. Cicilline.
But as Robert A. Walsh Jr., executive director of the National Education Association Rhode Island, pointed out Monday: âThe big winner today is not the obvious winner â itâs Governor Dan McKee.â
