After rolling through the first half of summer, dipping our toes in the social waters and, for some, even venturing out of town, it feels like the right time to get back in step with local community offerings. Relish the re-emergence of live arts and performances, offered both indoors and outside; especially those tailor-made to entertain the little ones in the family.

Summer is around the corner, and with it comes a hopeful start to festival season in the Bay Area. Though growing pains are apparent, local guidelines for large gatherings continue to ease, and some of the popular county fairs and festivals have started unveiling plans for their in-person, virtual and hybrid offerings. After last summer saw the cancellation of most traditional summer outings, it’s about time to get footloose and fancy free.
