Chester County Government: Chester County Breaks Ground On Schuylkill River Trail Extension

Reply April 29, 2021 Chester County Commissioners Marian Moskowitz, Josh Maxwell and Michelle Kichline were joined by partners from PennDOT, the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, Schuylkill River Greenways and the Circuit Trails to break ground on Chester County s latest extension to the Schuylkill River Trail (SRT).   Subscribe  Phase II of the County s Schuylkill River Trail is a $6 million, four-mile paved extension that will take the trail from Linfield Road at Parker Ford, to the new Route 422 Bridge crossing of the Schuylkill River at the Montgomery County border.  Phase II also includes the construction of a new trailhead parking lot at Linfield Road, and the resurfacing and paving of the County s existing 5.75-mile section of the Trail.

Chester County Government: Chester County Announces Steps For May 18 Primary Election Support

Reply April 27, 2021 The Chester County Board of Elections has approved measures to ensure the eligible ballots of all county voters are counted in the May 18 Primary Election. Those measures include the placement of 13 secure ballot drop boxes for mail-in and absentee ballots, and one satellite election office.  Subscribe  The secure drop boxes are located at 12 libraries across Chester County, plus the Chester County Government Services Center on Westtown Road in West Chester.  Ten of the drop box locations will be staffed during open hours (9AM-7PM, M-F and 10AM to 2PM, Sat and Sun.) Three drop box locations will be monitored by video surveillance, and will be available 24/7.   The drive-thru video-secure drop box locations are Henrietta Hankin Branch Library in Chester Springs, the Chester County Library in Exton, and the Chester County Government Services Center in West Chester.
