Joplin community commemorates 10-year tornado anniversary

JOPLIN - Saturday marks the 10-year anniversary of the EF-5 tornado in Joplin. The disaster destroyed buildings, uprooted homes and took the lives of 161 community members.
According to the Missouri Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions, and Professional Registration, the cost of the disaster totaled $2,017,564,600.
