A DEDICATED organiser for a men s community group has raised more than £2,000 for the Carer Support South Lakes. Stuart Graves, who just celebrated his 70th birthday on June 30, set out with members of his Men s Group to complete the Keswick to Kendal (K2K) challenge on June 5 in support of carers in Cumbria. With a target of £2,000, the group exceeded its aim and raised £2,264.86. Stuart was joined along the route by friends Peter Murdoch, Chris Amos, Kevin Archer and Leon Gold Schneider. Their online donations have been greatly supported by the charity. Stuart said: The idea for this came about over a year ago. I was up in Keswick and it was a lovely day, so on the way back I thought ‘what a fantastic walk this is’ so I got it in my head to do a Covid compliment rally which we could do.
