DEMING - A local Italian restaurant known for pushing back against critical reviews online, often in overtly political terms, has temporarily closed one of its locations due to staffing shortages it blames on China.

We plan to reopen when we can.”
Outside the restaurant s front entrance on South Silver Avenue in downtown Deming, the business posted a large hand-painted sign facing the street declaring in large capital letters: Blame China!
