Key Highlights
Certain services regarding Driving License and Certificate of Registration have been made completely online.
Now these services can be availed without going to RTO. With Aadhaar authentication, on voluntary basis, anyone can get the benefit of these contactless services.
Here s a step-by-tep guide on how to use this online service provided by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the Government of India.
George Municipality
GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality hereby confirms that it is open for business, services are being rendered and administration buildings are open except for halls, venues and sport facilities.
While in-person services are rendered where required, we appeal to the public to consider doing transactions and business online, per telephone or via email to avoid coming to the municipality in person and helping to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
During the Covid-19 crisis period, certain staff may be working from home or on rotation, which means contact details and office hours of some services may differ from usual operations. Please see below for more details per directorate.

The government has chased everybody off the beaches, but insists they queue up to renew their car licence discs.
The contradiction makes no sense according to the DA transport spokesperson Tim Brauteseth, who on Sunday slammed transport minister Fikile Mbalula for double standards.

GEORGE NEWS - Notice was received from George Municipality that while George Municipality general offices are closed for the Christmas holidays, the George Vehicle Licence Centre, Driving Licence Centre and Vehicle Testing Station will be open as below, unless otherwise announced as per Covid-19 measures:
Thursday 24 December: 8am-12pm (intake until 11am to allow for processing)
Friday 25 December to Sunday 27 December: CLOSED
Monday 28 December to Wednesday 30 December: 8am-3pm
Thursday 31 December: 8am-12pm (intake until 11am to allow for processing)
Friday 1 January to Sunday 3 January: CLOSED
Traffic Department Offices, Driving and Learners Licences:
