Cumberland, Adams and Franklin counties experiencing outages of 911 system

Several south-central Pa. counties are reporting outages of the 911 phone system on Wednesday afternoon, according to social media posts from officials.
Franklin County’s Emergency Service Department tweeted there is a phone outage affecting the three counties’ 911 and non-emergency lines. The problem was first reported just after 2 p.m. Texting 911 is still an option in Franklin County.
There is a major phone outage that is affecting Adam s, Cumberland and Franklin County s. This is affecting 9-1-1 lines and non Emergency lines. Further updates will be provided. Text to 9-1-1 is still available in Franklin County. FranklinPA Emgcy Svc (@Emrgncy Svc28) January 20, 2021
