Virgin Australia is slashing the price of seats in half in a two-hour flash promotion later today, almost three weeks before the Australian government s half-price fare stimulus package comes into effect.
Travellers will be able to score one-way economy fares starting from $55 between 5-7pm AEDT today, or until sold out on all Virgin Australia-operated services across Australia.
The airline says the mega promotion is a response to the extensive customer enquiry received following Prime Minister Scott Morrison s announcement yesterday of a $1.2 billion aviation stimulus package that will see 800,000 half-price domestic flights to stimulate domestic travel.
