Hamden Police Department Meets CLESP Standards

Reply May 8, 2021 The Hamden Police Department is proud to announce that we have met the minimum standards and practices developed by the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council, known as CLESP (Compliance to Law Enforcement Standards and Practices Program). Subscribe CLESP requires Connecticut Police Departments to adhere to a minimum of 16 standards. The department must submit evidence of compliance to the State s CLESP Accreditation Manager. To gain compliance, the Hamden Police Department revised and updated policies concerning Biased Based Policing, Motor Vehicle Pursuits, Use of Force and many others.
