OTTAWA, ON, April 22, 2021 /CNW/ - With a goal of connecting more women with disabilities to opportunities in Paralympic sport and attracting more female athletes, the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) is hosting a virtual event this spring specifically for female participants.
“Connection 2021” will feature various information sessions, interactive workshops, and engagement opportunities.

Sarnia twins Hannah and Fiona Elliott were playing basketball and volleyball, and competing in track and field, at Northern Collegiate when their lives took a turn in 2019.
Despite being avid athletes, the 17-year-old sisters said they weren’t thinking about rowing as a sport when they took part in a Canadian Olympic Committee talent search, RBC Training Ground, in St. Catharines in 2019.
