The NSW MP took the stand at the Independent Commission Against Corruption on Tuesday as it examines whether he used his position to lean on Canada Bay Council to help his family s property interests in Five Dock.

A high-profile Liberal party power broker has been linked to an alleged scheme to remove sitting local councillors, in claims made to a corruption inquiry into Drummoyne MP John Sidoti.
Liberal party-aligned lobbyist Joe Tannous was this week named as a friend of Mr Sidoti, who is under investigation for the possible misuse of his position to influence councillors from 2011-2018.
Mr Tannous is not under investigation.
