Mullet s Aluminum Products Inc. opened in Sarasota in 1978 in a small warehouse at 905 Ponder Ave. Steady expansion over the years has turned the company into the area s sixth largest manufacturer in Sarasota and Bradenton counties and one of the largest fabricators of custom aluminum products in the southeastern United States. In 2014, the company moved into a 120,000-square-foot office and manufacturing complex at 6345 McIntosh Road off Clark Road, said President Travis Mullet. On Thursday afternoon, Mullet hosted dozens of manufacturing professionals on a plant tour in its 78,000 square feet of warehouse and fabricating facilities. The event, organized by the Sarasota-Manatee Manufacturing Association, was the first plant tour for its members since the COVID-19 pandemic.
