$484 Million ADB Loan to Upgrade Road Network in Tamil Nadu Industrial Corridor News Release | 8 April 2021 MANILA, PHILIPPINES (8 April 2021) The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $484 million loan to improve transport connectivity and road maintenance in the Chennai–Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor (CKIC) in Tamil Nadu, India. The CKIC is part of India’s East Coast Economic Corridor, which stretches from West Bengal to Tamil Nadu and connects India to the production networks of Southeast and East Asia. “The development of the CKIC is part of ADB’s commitment to the Government of India to stimulate growth in industrial corridors by linking industrial growth centers and ports hinterland along the coastline and integrating regional value chains,” said ADB Principal Transport Specialist for South Asia Kanzo Nakai. “The project aims to increase the manufacturing industry’s participation in production networks and global value chains, a

In a regulatory filing, RPP Infra Projects said it has received four letter of acceptance for four new orders. The value of the order is Rs 1,000.01 crore. The company said it has received order from Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board for Rs 131.14 crore. The company has also received orders from Highways Department- Chennai Kanyakumari Industrial Corridor project for Rs 558.66 crore.

The above work order has been awarded to the joint venture, RPP-RK (JV), where the Company holds 60% of the shares and joint venture partner R.K. Infra Corp. Pvt Ltd., holds 40% of the shares.
