FREMONT - Last week’s spring vacation took on a new twist for local kids who built toolboxes, baked cookies and grew crystals thanks to Vanguard Career and Technology Center’s Spring Break in a Box program.

“It gives them an opportunity to get a glimpse of what career tech is,” said Vanguard Director Dave Buening. “For a young child, it’s an exciting thing.”
