Cardiff Confirm Town Bid Saturday, 7th Jun 2008 15:51
Cardiff City chairman Peter Ridsdale is reported to have confirmed that his club have turned down seven-figure bids from Town and another club for central defender Roger Johnson.
Earlier today, reports in Wales said the Blues had made a £1 million offer for the 25-year-old former Wycombe man with Cardiff valuing Johnson at three times that level. Middlesbrough and two other Premier League sides are also believed to be amongst those keen on signing Johnson.
Elsewhere, former Blue Alun Armstrong has started his own coaching school for children in the North-East. The striker is holding sessions with 8-14-year-olds at Tow Law Town FC and Swalwell Juniors.
