The last decade has seen historic political upheavals across the Middle East and North Africa: a tsunami of popular uprisings that have brought down several dictators and led to momentous transformations in political consciousness, if not always to democratic outcomes. But the last decade has also seen a concomitant counter-revolutionary roll-back across the region: authoritarian regimes, entrenched elites, ruling classes, deep states, and reactionary forces have marshalled considerable resources to torpedo these movements from below.[1]

Since President Joe Biden was inaugurated on January 20, returning to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal has been quite controversial in various terms. The barriers for Biden’s administration to revive the JCPOA have been discussed extensively.
In fact, there exist ingrained obstacles to reviving the JCPOA by the U.S. in terms of lifting sanctions. These deeply rooted barriers are sanctions that are tied to the issue of terrorism as a policy that Ronald Reagan’s administration embarked on. It identifies Iran as a terrorist hub under American law. Anticipating Biden’s likely intention to reenter the JCPOA and offering some sanctions relief to Iran, this policy was intensified by Trump’s team in a bid to make it difficult for Joe Biden to lift Iran sanctions.

I remember Dandy Don, up in the booth on MNF, (he obviously had a few in him), and every time a game would go into garbage time, he’d start singing that line from the Willie Nelson song. I guess if he was still around and watching our entire season turn to garbage time he would be singing right about now.
We are now a very disastrous 1-4 since our high water mark, and are fast becoming a bottom feeder team instead of striving for a playoff spot. Why? What is the main reason for this collapse? Is it Covid, injuries, Carr, the Defense, or just some cosmic joke? To be honest, I don’t think it’s any of that, yes, it may have contributed somewhat, but it isn’t the actual reason.
