SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party President, and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah on Thursday presided over a virtual meeting of the party’s provincial Committee members. The meeting lasted for five hours and was presided by Party President Dr Farooq Abdullah. Party Vice President Mr Omar Abdullah was also present. SRINAGAR: Nine DDC Members headed by Party’s District President Budgam called on Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar here at Party Head quarters Nawa e Subha. The delegation of 8 DDC members from NC and one DDC member of PAGD apprised the party general secretary about the clumsy and unfair mode of election and lottery system employed for the election of DDC chairman. The visiting delegation acquainted how the local administration favored a particular DDC member to benefit him in the election by ditching all established norms and rules. Condolences Pour In Over Editor Ghulam Nabi Shaida’s Demise Ghulam Nabi Shaida KEG Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) expresses grief over the demise of veteran Journalist and Editor Ghulam Nabi Shaida. Shaida was the Owner, Printer and Publisher of Urdu daily ‘Wadi ki Awaaz’. Shaida Sahab who was not keeping in good health for some time breathed his last at his Srinagar residence during the night. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Goripora village of Pulwama district. Ghulam Nabi Shaida was a fearless and an upright Journalist who would always be unbiased in his work as a journalist.
