Article content
The story of the Seaforth & District All Girls’ Marching Band is told by retired history teacher and bandmaster Charlie Kalbfleisch in Ambassadors on Parade (2020). Kalbfleisch recounts the legendary saga of the girls’ marching band which played before prime ministers and a U.S. president.
For nearly 75 years, their music has been heard by millions, from Europe to the Caribbean and from Calgary to Florida. Earning international renown, they are Huron County’s longest running musical phenomenon still going strong.
