NOIDA: Roads, drains, green belts, central verge… the 7x sectors in the city are set to get a facelift over the next few months. The Noida Authority has set aside a budget of Rs 32 crore for development of various amenities and infrastructure in these sectors.
On Sunday, project work worth Rs 11 crore was initiated in areas dominated by several highrises. Officials said the remaining Rs 21 crore would be spent on other development work by March 31.
Rajeev Tyagi, chief general manager of the Authority, said the decision to repair roads and drains was taken following repeated requests from residents. “Even before this, a lot of work has been done in the 7x sectors over the past six months. During this fiscal, we will end up spending Rs 150 crore towards development of residential blocks that fall on the south side of Vikas Marg,” said Tyagi.
