Joe Biden is set to swear-in as the 46th President of the United States on Wednesday, with the message of unity and the enormous task of healing a bitterly divided country. Four years after he left the Beltway for his hometown in Delaware, Biden returned to Washington DC a day before his swearing-in. Before boarding a private plane for Joint Air Force Base Andrews on his way to Washington DC, Biden said, âI am honoured to be your next President and Commander in Chief. I will always be a proud son of the state of Delaware.
President-elect Joe Biden plans to begin immediately unwinding President Donald Trump's policies on immigration, climate and other issues on Wednesday with at least 15 executive actions, including moves to reverse U.S. withdrawals from the Paris Agreement and the World Health Organization, and stop construction of a border wall.

Ms Harris will make history as America s first woman, first Black and first person with south Asian roots to take the office of the Vice President.
Joe Biden, 78, will take the oath on his 127-year-old family Bible, which will be held by his wife, Dr Jill Biden, news agency PTI reported.
The Inauguration will take place amid a deadly coronavirus pandemic that has infected over 2.4 crores Americans and killed 3.9 lakh patients so far. The ceremony comes days after an unprecedented storming of the US Capitol building, which is the seat of the US Congress, by pro-Trump supporters who took over the building, leading to the evacuation and lockdown of the Capitol and five deaths.
