The Ohio State Department of Athletics has selected Opendorse to provide Ohio State student-athletes with education and resource opportunities to capitalize on their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
The Opendorse program will be administered through the Eugene D. Smith Leadership Institute (EDSLI). Ohio State student-athletes will be able to take advantage of NIL educational programming via Opendorse Ready™ + Darlow Rules. The unique program, tailored specifically for Ohio State, is called
“We are thrilled to offer our student-athletes Opendorse Ready + Darlow Rules,” said senior associate athletic director Carey Hoyt. “We went through an extensive review of the companies offering NIL services and are confident we will provide our student-athletes with cutting-edge technology and the resources to maximize their NIL earning potential.”

COLUMBUS, Ohio –The Ohio State Department of Athletics and its men’s basketball program mourn the loss of Jody Finney, a member of the 1968 Final Four team and Howard Nourse, a member of the 1960 NCAA Champion Buckeyes.
Finney, a native of Springfield, Ohio, died May 2. Nourse, also from Springfield, passed away April 18.
Nourse averaged 3.1 points a game in a reserve role as a senior backing up Jerry Lucas. Nourse played in 37 career games for the Buckeyes from 1958-60.
Nourse held a PhD in Education Administration from Ohio State. He was involved in Christian higher education as an athletics director, coach, and administrator for over 16 years, including Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Milligan College. He retired in 2009.
