CANTON TWP. Township officials are looking to pay $8,500 to the Ohio Fire Chiefs Association to assist in the selection of a new fire chief.

We are spending some money on some professionals to help in the search, Trustee Christopher Nichols said. They are a little more qualified at it than we are.
The Ohio Fire Chiefs Association, according to its web site, provides a profile of the qualifications for the vacant position, including a description of required skills.
