Baramulla (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 1 (ANI): The residents of Drangbal village in Jammu and Kashmir s Baramulla district lauded the efforts of the district administration for the construction of the roads in the area. Baramulla was known as gateway of Kashmir but it lost its prestige with time. The construction of the road passing through the Drangbal village was being demanded by the residents for better connectivity, Abid Salam, a local resident told ANI.
Salam lauded the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the district administration for fulfilling the demand of the residents.
Baramulla: The youth congress leader and president Municipal Council Baramulla (MCB) Umer Azhar Kakroo has been removed as the president , after he lost the no confidence motion moved against him on Saturday in the office of the MCB.
Executive officer MCB Imtiyaz Ahmad said that a floor test was conducted on Saturday in which 12 councillors participated out of total 19. Among the 12 councillors 11 went against the Kakroo and he lost no confidence motion.
He said that as per results of the test Umer is now not the president of the council. Now it is up to the government who can announce the date for the new elections for the seat. Executive officer said.
