The 27-member committee met for the fourth time in nine days Thursday, focused on vaccine equity. The goal is to help OHA prioritize the next groups in line for the COVID-19 vaccine after teachers and people over 65. A big focus of the discussion was BIPOC Black, indigenous, people of color. Many minority communities have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, experiencing more cases and deaths per capita.

The governor is looking for individuals who are committed to improving health, improving health care, and lowering health care costs in Oregon. The OHPB is a nine-member board appointed by the governor. It serves as the policy-making body for OHA and is responsible for improving the health care delivery system as well as improving the health of Oregonians by developing state public health goals, strategies, programs and performance standards.
