A notice posted by Essex County Council in this week’s edition of the
Guardian states that no waiting, loading or stopping restrictions will be introduced alongside the temporary speed limits in the lengths of the roads affected. The order allowing this came into effect last week and will last for 18 months or until the work is completed, whichever is sooner. The roads due to be affected are Longfield and Brooklyn Avenue in Loughton, and Great Meadow/Keysers Road, Maplecroft Lane/Banes Down and Western Road/Shooters Drive/ Palmers Green and Palmers Grove in Nazeing. Works are also to be carried out in Oak Rise, Gladstone Road and Buckhurst Way/Albert Road in Buckhurst Hill, Murtwell Drive, Orchard Way, Lee Grove, Turpins Lane and Fontayne Avenue in Chigwell and Broadoaks in Epping.
