This year s start and finish is at the Gold Country Casino. Oro Dam Cruisers will be hosting the Pioneer Poker Run instead of their annual Gold Rush car show this year. The event is a scenic cruise where participants pick up a playing card at designated checkpoints. The cards are all standard playing cards that can be found in any deck. Your poker hand will then come into play with how event organizers determine the winner.

Community members in Oroville giving back this Christmas

Community members in Oroville giving back this Christmas The Oroville Rescue Mission hosted a drive-through donation event where they gave away hundreds of Christmas meals to families in need. Posted: Dec 24, 2020 7:03 PM Updated: Dec 24, 2020 7:03 PM Posted By: Kristian Lopez OROVILLE, Calif. - One local recue mission is on a mission to feed those who need it the most this Christmas.  Every year the Oroville rescue mission hosts a big Christmas dinner for families in need here in the community but this year with the pandemic, things looked a little different. Everything is to-go, nobody is coming in to the food line, we have volunteers that will take the food to them and they will take the food to-go, said Pastor, Stephen Terry, who is also the C.E.O. of The Oroville Rescue Mission.
