The African Methodist Episcopal Zion University (AMEZU) owned and operated by the A.M.E Zion Church on Thursday, April 22, 2021, hosted an elaborate 30
th Commencement Convocation for over 482 students who completed their respective courses in various disciplines over the last four years.
The convocation began with series of activities within and around the University as graduands trooped in with family and friends on the university’s campus as early as 7:00 a.m. to graced the occasion. As the day progressed, more students, staff and guests flooded the environment awaiting the formal commencement program to begin.
Monrovia – The Youth Empowerment Services, Inc. (YESLiberia) has recruited 27 underprivileged students to enroll in its scholarship program beginning second semester of academic year 2020-2021. The students come from several communities across Monrovia and will join a list of at least 300 students who have benefitted from YESLiberia scholarship program in the last seven years.
YESLiberia is a United States based not-for-profit organization with a 501(c)(3) status. Since the year 2013, YESLiberia has consistently sponsored under privileged and bright students at schools in underserved communities such as GSA Road and Nickley Town in Montserrado County, Unification Town and Kakata in Margibi County and Ganta in Nimba County.

After 70 years of squatting, residents of Unification Town in Margibi County have finally and officially gotten legitimacy over their land as President George Manneh Weah presented deeds of the lands they are occupying on December 4, 2020.
Margibi County District #2 Representive, Ivar K. Jones, in his 3rd annual report on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, told over 5,000 constituents that the issues of legitimacy to the land is documented in the annals of history in Margibi District #2.
The Margibi lawmaker, who is an executive member of the leadership of the House of Representatives, in the capacity of co-chairman on Foreign Affairs Committee, said the petition of Unification Town Land Legitimacy was presented on February 20, 2020, and after investigations and consultations, the “land deed” was awarded.
