From tomorrow employers will have to pay towards furlough payments.
From July 1, the Government will pay 70% up to £2,187.50 and employers will pay another 10%, leaving employees with 80% of their previous salaries, up to the £2,500 monthly limit.

Over-40s Covid vaccines rollout on track to begin this month
By the end of this week, invitations should have been sent to everyone in the top seven priority groups

Over-40s will start being called for jabs this month, The Telegraph understands, as it emerged that more than 20 million people – almost four in 10 adults – have now had the vaccine.
Health officials are about to send the last batch of invitations to those over the age of 60. NHS England said the inviations will mean that everyone in the first seven priority groups, including everyone over 60 and younger people with underlying health conditions or factors that make them clinically vulnerable, will have been offered a jab.

In a letter to the Chancellor Rishi Sunak, Alison Thewliss MP called for the multi-billion pound Covid-19 reserve, set out in the UK Spending Review, to be released so could Scotland receive its share. £1.7bn was allocated to devolved spending areas.
