Williams 02-25-2021 Black History Month, or Black Awareness Month, may be coming to an end, but there are plenty of organizations on campus you can support or engage with throughout the year. In 1967, the United Black Students was the first Black student organization to become formally recognized by Henry King Stanford, the University of Miami’s third president. Today, dozens of groups exist at the University across multiple areas of interest and focus, connecting Black students to academic, professional, and social support systems that help them excel.
