NATICK Steven M. Sousa, executive vice president and chief operating officer of MutualOne Bank and a foundation trustee, recently announced a $10,000 grant to the Natick Service Council to support the organization’s efforts to assist neighbors facing rent or mortgage related financial needs.
“The Natick Service Council collaborates with the community to support neighbors experiencing hardship or economic uncertainty by promoting self-sufficiency,” said Sousa. “We are pleased to make our contribution to their efforts.”
The $10,000 grant to the Natick Service Council was among awards totaling $99,900 in the foundation’s most recent round of funding.
Established in 1998 as the philanthropic arm of MutualOne Bank, the MutualOne Charitable Foundation has since donated over $5 million to charitable, educational, and civic initiatives in Framingham, Natick and surrounding communities.
