To determine the top spot, 100 dog breed were ranked using the golden ratio , which is an ancient algebraic equation that determines how aesthetically pleasing something is to the human eye.
When using this on dogs, the equation takes into account the ratio between key points on a dog s face, such as ears, eyes, nostrils and tongue.
Once the ratios are calculated, the percentages were compared to the golden ratio and those with the higher percentage were deemed the cutest breeds.
The research was analysed by pet insurance comparison site, MoneyBeach.co.uk and the results are very interesting!
