Amanda J. Messersmith, 31, of Greeneville, Tennessee, on April 12 was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. The state Office of the Attorney General said Messersmith allegedly sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant multiple times. The first controlled buy occurred at the Breezewood Motel on Feb. 24, documents said. Messersmith allegedly sold meth to the informant for $100. Another buy occurred at the hotel on March 4, that time for an $80 purchase. On March 18, the informant purchased $80 worth of meth from Messersmith at the Wiltshire, 140 S. Breezewood Road. Bail was set at $50,000 straight.

FINZEL â A Finzel area family was left homeless early Wednesday when fire destroyed a residence in the 2000 block of Pocahontas Road, according to the Eastern Garrett Volunteer Fire Department.
No one was injured in the fire that was reported to the Garrett County 911 emergency center at 12:02 a.m., prompting alert of numerous volunteer fire departments from Garrett and Allegany counties and nearby Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
âWhen we rolled up there was fire blowing out of every side of the building,â said Eastern Garrett Assistant Chief Justin Clark, who was with the first-arriving firefighters. âWe were on the scene in 6 to 7 minutes.â
