May 6, 2021 Sandra J. Daby, 72, of Lake Placid passed away on April 27, 2021, unexpectedly after suffering a stroke. Sandra was born on Nov. 27, 1948, to Horace A. Pratt and Gertrude Tucker in Lake Placid. Services will be held at the M.B. Clark Inc. Funeral Home in Lake Placid Saturday, May 1. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., with a funeral service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Derek Hansen pastor of the Adirondack Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow at the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid. A reception will be held at 6012 Sentinel Road following burial.

Apr 30, 2021 Sandra J. Daby, 72, of Lake Placid passed away on April 27, 2021, unexpectedly after suffering a stroke. Sandra was born on Nov. 27, 1948, to Horace A. Pratt and Gertrude Tucker in Lake Placid. Sandra was a graduate of Lake Placid High School, Class of 1968, and after graduation she went on to Business Trade School in Utica. After graduation from Utica, she landed her first job with American Management Association in Saranac Lake. She is better known for her time working at Fay’s Drug and Eckard Drug in the pharmacy department. In 1968, she met Dale Daby, and they were married March 14, 1970. She and Dale raised three children: Donna, Dawn and Stefanie. After retiring in 1999, Sandra spent her time camping at the family-owned cabin in Lake Placid, taking their camper to the Finger Lake region, doing crafts especially plastic canvas, reading and spending time with her grandkids. Sandra is also a breast cancer survivor.

Jan 21, 2021 Ruth Mace Prime passed away peacefully at her beloved home early in the morning of Jan. 13, 2021. Her son Jon was by her side. She died from complications of congestive heart failure at age 90. Born in Brooklyn on June 28, 1930, to Romaine and Earl Mace, she spent her childhood in Morristown, New Jersey. Ruth graduated from The Kent Place School and later pursued music at Smith College. She then went on to teach kindergarten at The Peck School in Morristown. Her marriage to George Bramhall ended in divorce in 1955, and she moved to Keeseville with her two small children, Peter and Darcy.
