SALT LAKE CITY Many Utahns feel safe and comfortable going shopping or eating at restaurants by this point during the COVID-19 pandemic. But when it comes to entertainment and cultural events, there s more hesitation, according to a new survey from Y2 Analytics.
About 91% of Utahns say they feel comfortable going to a zoo, garden or aquarium, whereas only 52% feel the same level of comfort about attending an indoor concert, play or other live performance.
Researchers surveyed 1,104 randomly selected registered Utah voters in early March. An oversample of 649 registered Salt Lake County voters were also included in the data and responses were weighted to make sure no group was disproportionately represented.

SALT LAKE CITY Salt Lake County Arts & Culture announced Thursday that it will reopen its performing arts venues Abravanel Hall, Capitol Theatre, Eccles Theater, and the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center for public performances on March 25 after a year mostly closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The venues will require face coverings, distancing between parties and reduced capacities. The health and safety of our performers, patrons, and staff are of the upmost importance to us, Salt Lake County Arts & Culture said in a news release. Our phased reopening plans will support us getting back to presenting work to live audiences in a way that protects everyone.

SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah â After a months-long shutdown due to the pandemic, venues in Salt Lake County will reopen to the public next month.
Salt Lake County Arts & Culture announced all its performing arts venues will open on March 25. Our phased reopening plans will support us getting back to presenting work to live audiences in a way that protects everyone, the agency said in a statement.
