Warning for 160,000 Sydneysiders as Covid-infested sewerage is uncovered

NSW Health has issued a warning for more than 160,000 Sydneysiders to be wary of Covid-19 symptoms after fragments of the virus were uncovered in sewage.  The government s sewage surveillance program detected Covid-19 at a treatment plant in Glenfield overnight, which takes in a catchment from 36 suburbs.   People in South West Sydney are asked to be extra vigilant when it comes to symptoms, NSW Health said in a statement.   While this could reflect known returned travellers in the area, everyone living or working in this area should monitor for symptoms, get tested, and isolate immediately if they appear.
