ANN ARBOR, MI – A new judge is taking the bench in Ann Arbor.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has appointed attorney and lifelong Ann Arbor resident Miriam A. Perry to serve in the city’s 15th District Court.
“I am extremely excited to be joining the 15th District Court and I’m humbled the governor chose me to serve the people of my hometown,” Perry said.
Perry was officially sworn in on Dec. 30 and is going through orientation ahead of hearing her first cases, which are expected to begin Jan. 11. She fills a seat vacated by the retirement of Elizabeth Pollard Hines who left Nov. 1 after 28 years on the bench.
